The Department of Dravyaguna is dedicated to the study of medicinal plants, Ayurvedic pharmacology and therapeutic properties of natural substances. The department provides comprehensive education in identification, classification, cultivation and medicinal applications of herbs described in classical Ayurvedic texts. Students gain practical exposure through herbal gardens, pharmacognosy studies and research activities.
To become a centre of excellence in the study, conservation and scientific validation of medicinal plants and Ayurvedic pharmacology.
To impart quality education and research-based knowledge of medicinal plants for the advancement of Ayurveda and healthcare.
